From Pregnancy to Preschool: How Health Visiting Supports Your Family

From Pregnancy to Preschool: How Health Visiting Supports Your Family

Every Solihull family is offered support from our Health Visiting Service, beginning in pregnancy and continuing until your child starts school. Our Health Visitors are qualified nurses or midwives with specialist training in child development, family wellbeing, and public health.

We provide appointments at key stages — including antenatal visits, new birth reviews, 6–8 week checks, 9–12 month and 2–2½ year developmental reviews. These sessions are an opportunity to discuss your child’s growth, sleep, feeding, and any family concerns.

Our Health Visitors also work alongside Community Nursery Nurses, Infant Feeding Specialists, and Family Hubs to deliver joined-up support for families across Solihull.

“We’re here to give every child the best possible start in life,” says one of our Clinical Leads.

If you’ve recently moved into the area or need extra help, please get in touch — our teams can connect you with local groups, clinics, and trusted online resources.

Your child’s health visitor can be contacted via ChatHealth 07507 332563 or through our Contact Us page.
